Skateboard bearings are one top important spare part in skateboard to keep it performance up. It is a cut out furrow set to shield and house two ball bearings component in the middle of any skateboard wheel, they are with flat sides and circular shapes. This is the part that its job is to reduce metal friction between each of wheels and the axle where it spins. Since the axle is a settled part, it is necessary for the bearings to set the wheels spin but not letting the metal grinded up. The bolt operates through the bearing centers, through the wheel centers, and then cycle through the joint bearing. This process make ups what so called rotating mechanism as each pieces of the spare parts work, and giving the power that is needed to move the skateboard.

If you are one of skateboard lovers, you know that your concern should not be only to your skateboard plank. Every skateboard lovers know that to gain a maximal movement in skateboarding, skateboarders should pay attention the most to the skateboard bearings. It is the most important part of any skateboard, since it works as the operating machine. If you are one skateboarder’s feel that your skateboard is not really cooperating, you might need to check the bearings. A good and high quality skateboard is determined not based on its plank look, but is determined on the bearings.

Choosing a right skateboard means choosing the right skateboard bearings. There are at least two things that you skateboard lovers should consider when you are about to pick a skateboard. First is the material of the bearings. There are at least two most common materials; those are ceramic and steels. Considering the heat energy resulted from the metal friction, these two materials are considered as the good one. For a more economical choice, steel is pretty good since it can ease friction between the axle and the wheel and can disperse the load weight but the price is considerably more affordable compared to ceramics. But, if you look for a premium skateboard, ceramics bearings would worth the prices.

The second one you need to consider in picking bearings is the size. Of course there are the standard sizes and sizes that are out of standard. It is important for skateboarders to keep in mind that choosing the skateboard bearings based on standards is important to keep the performance up.
